First More 55 ready for the adventure across the Atlantic

The first More 55 has now been launched at More Sailing's shipyard in Croatia. The newly built boat is rigged and ready for its maiden voyage across the Atlantic as a participant in the Atlantic Rally for Curises.

- We have tested the launched boat and they go perfectly in the water, looking forward to the trip across the Atlantic, says Einar Halldin, CEO of More Sailing.

At the end of last year, the charter and sailing company More Sailing opened the More Boats shipyard near Split in Croatia. At the shipyard, the self-manufactured performance cruiser More 55 has been produced for almost a year. Now the first More 55 has finally been launched and ready for its maiden voyage. It is the first of ten that will be manufactured in the future at More Sailing's new shipyards.

But even though More 55 is a completely new creation, the boat is full of craftsmanship and boatbuilding tradition. The shipyard is admittedly new, but the boat builders in Croatian Split carry a proud history. Here you are used to building high quality boats. The design is Italian and comes from Cossutti Yacht Design, which has won "European Yacht of the Year" 2013 and "Boat of the year" 2015.

- The More 55 is large - sixteen meters long - and built with high quality and a light basic structure, which makes it fast, comfortable and reliable. It is built to sail and not lie by the pier, a real performance cruiser, says Einar.

The launched boat will now make its maiden voyage across the Atlantic as a participant in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, the world's largest transatlantic sailing competition. The competition kicks off on November 22 from Las Palmas and finishes in Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, where the boat will be sailing during the winter.

- This is the third year in a row we are part of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers and this year it will be extra exciting as it will be More 55's maiden voyage, says Einar Halldin

More Sailing started with the couple Einar Halldin and Malin Stom getting the idea to arrange sailing trips for friends and acquaintances in Croatia. Since then, the company has grown strongly and even expanded. Today, sailing trips are offered, sailboats are rented with or without skippers in the Croatian archipelago and in the Caribbean. In addition, the company arranges adventure sailings, across the Atlantic, and its own annual regatta in Croatia. Today, More Sailing sails a total of 45 boats in both Croatia and the Caribbean, but in the future the fleet will be expanded with ten newly built More 55s.
