With pleasure we introduce our new destination Pula for 2023, which will be our second destination in Croatia.

Pula is located in the northern Croatian archipelago and belongs to a region called Istria which is known for quality truffles, cheese, wine and vegetables. Pula has many ancient Roman buildings, including the Pula Arena which is one of the most well-preserved Roman amphitheaters, a great destination for those interested in history!

Memorable sailing in Pula

From Pula, we sail on to the fabulous islands of Cres, Losinj and Krk. During the summer months Pula has a pleasant climate, the days are warm and sunny. There is often good wind, the daily northwest Mistral creates winds between 10 and 25 knots. There are many factors that make Croatia the fantastic sailing paradise it is. A sailing trip in Croatia is a must in life, a must be enjoyed! During a sailing trip on our boats, you will experience sailing at its best, without any worries regardless of previous sailing experience. On board the boat, you are in safe hands with the crew who cook, guide you to places of interest, recommend sights and restaurants and sail the boat. There are no musts on a sailing boat, for you it's just a matter of relaxing and going along, but of course you can participate in the sailing as much as you like. Whether you choose to sail from Split or Pula, during a sailing week with More Sailing you will experience a large part of what the coast in the area has to offer. You will experience beautiful and exuberant nature, picturesque villages that are over a thousand years old, idyllic bays and the local cuisine. All this along with lots of sun, swimming and sailing. Here you can read about some of the islands we visit and the different places you can visit on each island in each destination. It is important to remember that the route we sail can vary and it is always adapted to the weather and wind.

Cres

The island of Cres is elongated and covered with oak and birch forests. The islands of Cres and Losinj were once a single island but the ancient Romans dug a channel that now separates the islands. Cres has some olive groves and vineyards that characterize the island. On the south side of the island is Jadrišćica Bay, the bay is so far away from big cities that it is a perfect place to watch the stars on dark summer evenings. One of the main characteristics of the island of Cres is crystal clear sea and preserved nature as it is one of the most sparsely populated large islands in Croatia. It has many attractive bays and beaches. One of the most attractive beaches is a pebble beach Sv. Ivan near Lubenice, often said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Losinj

Losinj is a harmonious and beautiful island, where beautiful beaches are embraced by green forests and charming villages are characterized by local restaurants and marinas stretching along entire villages. South of Losinj, the Dolphin Way crosses, there are about 200 dolphins circling in the sea around the island, hence the name, and the opportunity to see dolphins is great. The island has a rich cultural history with traces of both Roman and Venetian influence, making it an interesting destination for those interested in history and architecture.

Krk

The island of Krk is the second largest island in the Adriatic Sea and is home to many different villages. Characteristic of the island is that each town is different in both appearance and environment. Common to all towns on the island is that they are characterized by a lot of history, the cities are spartan and not as influenced by mass tourism as other islands in Croatia. You can visit the town of Krk, which is the main town on the island and has the same name as the island. There are pebble beaches with pine trees growing freely and in the evening you can walk around the small and cozy taverns that stretch along the sea.

Dugi Otok

The island of Dugi Otok is one of the longest islands in Croatia, hence the name that suggests this. The island is particularly known for its natural wealth and in the southeastern part is the Telašćica Nature Park. The park has a unique landscape with rugged rocky coasts, hidden coves, lush forests and vast meadows. Telašćica has been called the most beautiful natural bay in the entire Adriatic Sea and is best known for its fabulous white beaches.
