We always set prices that cover the entire investment, i.e. a boat that's ready to hire out. All equipment is included, as well as the launch and charter equipment such as china, cutlery and bed linen. Please contact us for an up-to-date quote with updated prices and a calculation of your anticipated hire revenue.
You decide yourself how much you want to sail your boat. The less you sail yourself, the more rentals and revenue your boat will receive. By default, you get three free owners' weeks.
The boat is fully insured, covering all types of damage and even loss of charter income due to any serious damage that would take a longer time to repair. Each person hiring the boat pays a deposit equal to the excess for the insurance, so if any damage occurs during the rental period, it is covered by the excess.
Croatia is often called "the land of a thousand islands ', a fitting name since there is a total of 1,185 islands, 67 of which are inhabited, along its coastline. During the summer months Croatia has a very pleasant climate, especially for sailing. The winds tend to be just the right strength for sailing. The most common wind speed is 6-8 m/s. Lulls in the wind and windstorms are both rare.  Croatia is a republic bordering Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina in the east and Slovenia and Hungary in the north. The capital is Zagreb, which has approximately 78,000 inhabitants. The entire country consists of approximately 4,494,750 inhabitants. Croatia became a member of the EU on the 1st July 2013. The official language in Croatia is Croatian, a Slavic language which uses the Latin alphabet. Serbian, Italian, Hungarian, Slovenian and Czech are also spoken in the country, although not by more than five percent of the population. In Istria, Italian is also an official language. Croatia has a total area of 56,542 km2, and within this area there are seven World Heritage Sites and eight national parks. One Croatian World Heritage site of note is Diocletian's Palace, a Roman palace that encloses the old parts of the city Split. Stari Grad, a city on the island of Hvar in Dalmatia, and the city of Dubrovnik are two other notable Croatian World Heritage sites. Croatia celebrates its National Day on the 25th of June.  Croatia has a coastline which is 4,800 kilometres long, and over 1,000 islands to sail between. The country's coastline is divided into two parts by Bosnia's smaller coastline near Dubrovnik. The Croatian coast is divided into three regions: Dalmatia in the south, the Istrian peninsula in the north, and the Kvarner region in between the two. Kvarner, an archipelago, includes the islands of Cres, Krk, Pag, Rab and Losinj. Istria is renowned for its ancient and beautiful port cities. The city of Rovinj is said to be the most beautiful. Both Rovinj and the city of Pula were originally built by the Romans. Pula has the most well-preserved amphitheatre in the world, which is well worth a visit. Istria also contains the smallest town in the world, Hum, with only 23 inhabitants. Our starting marina Kremik is located in Dalmatia. If you are sailing in Croatia for a week, you will be spending most of the time in this region. Dalmatia is the most visited region in the whole of Croatia. It stretches from the city of Zadar in the north to the city of Dubrovnik in the south. Dalmatia was once owned by the Romans and has belonged to the city of Venice. This has left its mark both on the many beautiful cities on the mainland and on the small villages out on the islands. The Dalmatian coast is full of islands, which are popular tourist destinations, especially for sailors. From north to south, we can find Dugi Otok, the largest island in the Kornati National Park, and then Solta, Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, Lastovo and Miljet. Pleasant and frequently visited towns and villages situated along the coast include Zadar, Sibenik, Primosten, Trogir, Split and Dubrovnik. There are eight national parks in Croatia, with four of them located right on the coast. From south to north you will find Mljet, Krka, Kornati and Brijuni.   Croatia is becoming more and more famous for its delicious food and fine wines. Along the coast that spans Istria, Dalmatia and Primorje, the food is inspired by Italian cuisine but cooked "Croatian style". Fish, seafood, pasta and pizza are often found on the menu. Common dishes include pljeskavica, buzara and cevapcici. Pljeskavica are large burgers which can be ordered with or without cheese. Buzara means that the main ingredient is cooked in a sauce made out of wine, tomato and spices. It suits many kinds of seafood. The most well-known dish is cevapcici, a type of ground beef rolls served with potatoes, french fries or lepinja, a bread somewhat reminiscent of pita. Along with the lepinja bread and cevapcici there are usually vegetables and ajvar relish, a tomato and red pepper mixture. Fried/grilled beef, lamb and pork are also common meals across the country. In Croatia you can often order pancakes in restaurants as well as on the streets and in marketplaces. Croatian ice cream is great competition to Italian ice cream in terms
Before each season you sign a rental and service agreement with us and after each season, you have the possibility to terminate the relationship. The Caribbean islands extend in a chain all the way from Florida down to Venezuela. Cuba is the furthest north and Trinidad and Tobago lie furthest south. The islands border the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The Caribbean comprises more than 700 islands, islets and reefs and there are 13 independent island nations there. Some of the islands belong to France, Britain, the Netherlands and the United States. We have chosen the southern part of the Caribbean for our sailing trips. The area is called the Grenadines. We sail between the two nations: St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Both St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines are independent nations. The currency used is called the Eastern Caribbean Dollar.  St. Lucia is a 620 square kilometre island with about 170,000 inhabitants. St. Lucia has belonged to France and England seven times each. From 1814 to 1967 when they were granted autonomy St. Lucia belonged to Britain. On 22nd February 1979, St. Lucia became fully independent. St. Lucia's most famous landmark is the two peaks of the Pitons located between Soufrière and Choiseul on the western side of the island.   St. Vincent and the Grenadines comprises 32 large and small islands with about 100,000 inhabitants. The mainland is St. Vincent, which forms the country St. Vincent and the Grenadines along with two thirds of the Grenadines islands. The Grenadines are shared between St. Vincent and Grenada. Besides St. Vincent, the islands Bequia, Canouan, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, Union Island and Petit St. Vincent belong to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The nation has been independent Since 27th October 1979 but is still part of the British Commonwealth. The total land area is 389 square kilometres and St. Vincent itself is 344 square kilometres. St. Vincent is a volcanic island where you can find both black and white beaches. All the islands in the Grenadines have white sandy beaches.
The World Cruising Club organizes offshore sailing events around the world. They have been designed for the 'average' cruising boats and crews. They are a way for people to realize their dream of embarking on a long sea voyage. In this way, several boats and crew members can make the journey together, which results in a great sense of community and security. The company was founded by Jimmy Cornell after the success of the first ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) transatlantic rally in 1986. Since Jimmy's retirement in 1998, the company has been run by Andrew Bishop.World Cruising Club has a portfolio of sailing rallies that take place every year. They include ARC Europe, ARC USA and the long run ARC Around the World which takes 18 months to complete. Each year, approximately 1,800 people from over 20 different countries take part in one of the World Cruising Club rallies. They range in age from children of just a few months to adults over 80. For some, it will be their first time sailing on the open seas, while for others it will be another repeat of a favourite adventure. Some come to enjoy their retirement; others want to take a break from work, or to start a new life full of adventures. The event starts when you arrive in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, around one week before setting sail. Once there we meet up and start preparations, which gives us a chance to get to know the boat and to build our team.

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF ME AS A PARTICIPANT?As a participant, you will be required to have good sailing experience so that you have an idea of what a longer sailing voyage will involve. The boat will have a well-trained skipper onboard who will go through the boat and all technical information on site. The most important thing is that you are open-minded, you will share a small space with other people from different backgrounds  but with the same common interest in sailing. WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I BRING?Sailing across the Atlantic involves significant variations in temperature. Initially, the temperature will be about 20 degrees during the day and 15 degrees at night. But considering that the wind is very strong, it will feel much colder than it is; more like 5-10 degrees. As you move more to the south, the temperature rises and before long you will want to be wearing swimwear. The best footwear is a pair of appropriate shoes with light soles or sandals. Boots are also an appropriate alternative if you like, although they are not necessary. We recommend you bring a cap or a hat to wear at night. When sailing your hands will go through a lot, so bring a pair of gloves to protect them. The sun is very intense at sea and it is easy to burn, so we recommend that you bring a high factor sunscreen. It is a good idea to bring polarised sunglasses, and prescription sunglasses could be useful if you have impaired vision. Consider bringing two pairs, as it can be annoying if you lose the only pair you have with you. WILL I GET SEASICK?Anyone can suffer from seasickness, including the most seasoned of sailors, so make sure to bring your own supply of seasickness treatments. There are many different forms of drugs and pills of different strengths, in addition to patches, chewing gums and bracelets. Seasickness is not a symptom of any particular ailment and can be the result of numerous different factors. The most common causes are dehydration, lack of energy and sleep disorders. With this in mind, Oral Rehydration Salts are worth bringing along. We will have food on board, but a few packets of dextrosol could come in handy, too. And to ensure that you sleep properly, consider bringing ear plugs and an eye mask. HOW LONG WILL I BE AWAY?The participants travel to Las Palmas on their own accord, around a week before the race commences, at the latest by November 14th, giving that the opening ceremony takes place on November 15th. It is advised that you do not book the return travel for any time before December 13th. The award ceremony is held on December 19th, and participants can stay on the boat until December 20th if desired. WHAT ARE THE SAFETY ARRANGEMENTS?For the boat to participate in the ARC there are several requirements set by ARC which must be met. The skippers are responsible for ensuring that their ships meet these requirements. The participants are responsible for ensuring that they have all of the necessary personal equipment required by ARC. The participants must have a personal life jacket which must be equipped with:      Crotch strapSprayhoodLanyard with safety carbine at both ends, and 3 hooksReflector WhistleFlashlightA tag with the name of the participant and the boatReplacement kit with cartridgeAn additional technical piece of equipment that the participant can provide themselves is a piece of personal search equipment. This consists of two different transmitters, one of which is a radio transmitter which can be detected on the radar screens of nearby boats. The second transmits satellite signals; the signal goes up to a satellite and then down to a ground station which receives the position of the transmitter. This type of equipment is not required but is recommended. Other items of equipment which are useful to have on a life jacket include a knife, a multipurpose tool, a pocket light and / or head light.WHAT IS THE SHIP FUND?All the participants on the ship put some money into a fund which is used to cover expenses such as food and household items. The contribution per person is around 300 euro. The skippers do not contribute to the ship fund.

Once you've arrived at Rodney Bay and made yourself at home on the boat the sun has already set and it's dark outside, so the first night is spent at the marina. You then set sail after breakfast on Sunday morning. On the plane from London to St. Lucia you will be given a paper in which you declare your arrival to St. Lucia. In this paper, you should fill in your personal information as well as where you will visit during your stay. This means that you must be economical in your water usage and take shorter showers. For the most part, it is possible to charge mobile phones and cameras; 220V sockets can be used when the boat is in the marina and when the ship is still and the generator is on. When the ship is sailing you will have access to 12V sockets. There are 10 guests and two crew members on board each ship. Guests sleep in pairs in the five cabins on board; the captain and the stewardess sleep in the captain's cabin and in the lounge. On board there are three lavatories with shower facilities.

SAILING AND NAVIGATIONAL SKILLSOperating a charter boat in Croatia requires a license or skipper certificate, as well as a VHF certificate. This must be presented when you check in if you have not sent it to us in advance. The certificates must also be carried on the boat for the duration of the hire period.  ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN TO BOATSUpon arrival at the marina, please report to the charter company office. Check-in to boats will be open from 17:00 on Saturdays. Of course, we aim for the boats to be ready as early as possible on Saturday. We hire out many boats and everything is done on Saturdays - the previous week's guests leave the boat and new guests come on board. In between, the boat must be cleaned, checked and any damage dealt with. Check-in starts by reporting the name, passport number and date of birth of each crew member at the charter company office, as well as presenting navigational certificates for the crew if you have not done so in advance. We recommend that you upload these in your customer portal in advance to speed up the process on Saturday. The tourist tax and cleaning fee for the boat, as well as any additional charges such as a skipper, deposit clearance, spinnaker etc. are paid at the charter company's office. These fees are paid in cash, either in Croatian Kuna or in Euros. You will also pay the deposit for the boat at the charter company office. The deposit will be reserved on a credit card during the time you sail and restored when the boat has been checked out and no damage has been reported. Once this has been completed, you will receive your ship’s papers, pilot book and charts. You then inspect the boat together with personnel from the charter company, checking it against an inventory. It is your job to check and say if there is something missing on board before setting off. If something is missing when you are in the marina, it is easy to fix, so make sure that you have towels, filled water tanks, a dinghy etc. More Sailing has designed a checklist of tips for skippers. After you have gone through the inventory list and checked that nothing is missing on board, you and the company representative sign the inventory. Only now may other crew members and luggage come on board. If you are arriving at the marina late on Saturday night, you will get overnight access to the boat and check-in takes place on Sunday between 09:00 and 12:00. CHECKING OUTThe boat must be back in the marina no later than 18:00 on Friday evening and check-out from the boat must be completed before 09:00 on Saturday morning. Obviously, you have access to the boat for sleeping on the night between Friday and Saturday. Checking out is similar to checking in. A representative from the charter company goes through the inventory with you to make sure everything is as it was when you checked in. Checking out is complete once the inventory has been reviewed and no damage has been reported.Fill the boat with diesel fuel before you return it to the marina. If you are flying home early on Saturday morning, you can check out on Friday night and still sleep on the boat overnight. CUSTOMER PORTALWhen you book you will receive a separate email with a booking confirmation. In this email you will find a log-in to the More Sailing customer portal. You can use the customer portal for everything from keeping track of your payments to uploading your crew list and skipper certificates. CREW LISTPlease send us your crew list at least two weeks before you arrive in Croatia, including the first name, surname, date of birth and passport number of each crew member.
